So, my previous post was a couple of days before Christmas. I really thought I was getting better, but ended up getting over my respiratory virus around the 27th of December...
Round two of sickness came in around the 2nd of January. I woke up with white patches all over my throat, so I had to visit the doctor AGAIN.
I had a friend that sat at my lunch table with me, who ended up having mono, and had to be put on home hospital (like home schooling) from the middle of November to after Christmas break.
Both my mom and doctor were sure that I had gotten mono....
My tests came back negative, so they said I just had strep throat.
I got over my strep throat fully this past Wednesday, so it's been pretty crazy here lately.
I also started my new semester class, which is arts and humanities. That class is really for 11th graders to take, but I didn't want to take it next year, so I decided to just get it over with now, and have another class that I can choose next year.
Since I have that class blocked, I go to lunch with that class. Right now, it is fourth lunch....and the last lunch of the day :/
I walked in, and there was absolutely NO ONE in that class with me except Hannah, but she has been sick with basically the same thing I have had, so I have been enduring that class alone :P
Since I have fourth lunch, we have class for almost two hours before lunch, with only one, ten minute break in between. There are only about 16 kids in that class, so we are all pretty quiet, and the teacher seems to like all of us.
Friday, we had a sub, so all our normal teacher left us to do was a twenty question test, which took me five minutes to do. After we finished, the rest of the two hours was free time. That would have been amazing if I had people in there to talk to, but I just looked like a loser and sat there, while everyone else watched ESPN or played on our teacher's piano (did I mention that our teacher is the choir teacher? Didn't think so.)
After about an hour, I got up and walked around the room, looking at the pictures of all the choirs over the past twenty-some odd years, and laughing at my mom's choir pictures. She looked silly with her 80's hair, and one of the pictures she was like a deer in the headlights. I should take a picture of them...hehe, sorry Mom :)
When I sat down, this senior kid just randomly walks up to me. He had his pant leg up on one of his legs, and he starts talking to me about how "epic" he was when he went snow boarding, and that he got massive air and fell, and busted his knee last week....
I was just laughing to myself the whole time, while he was telling me about his story.
He THEN starts telling me about all the things he's broken on his body, and how he tore his tongue off.....?
I just wanted to be like, "Dude, it's almost lunch time :/"
But, I just kept on listening......
and listening....
AND LISTENING....
until lunch....
Saved by the bell :)
HANNAH SAVE ME!!! COME TO SCHOOL :'(
Love,
Katherine
